Oct 2, 2018 · Van cranks over but will not start. Check your Inertia switch. It is located behind the passengers toeboard to the right of the transmission hump. It has a push button to reset. The Inertia switch is for safety and disconnects the fuel pump power when bumped. Sometimes closing a door will falsely trigger the switch.
Feb 26, 2012 · SOURCE: re: 1993 Dodge Dakota, where might I find the fuel. You have an Automatic Shut Down Relay or "ASD Relay" not so much a "switch." The ASD relay inside the power distribution center which is under the hood on the left corner of the engine compartment. Under the lid is a legend that will pinpoint it's location in said box.

If a problem is detected with the PASS-Key (R) System, the Security Indicator will be illuminated and the fuel injectors will be disabled. Assuming that it cranks, (and may even start for a second) and shuts off. There are 15 different value resistors that are used in the keys.

Ford is the only one that I know of that uses that goofy inertia switch, everyone else uses an auto shut down relay that does the same thing and just requires a key cycle. 2011 GMC Terrain SLE-2 V6 18" Wheels Olympic White w/Jet Black Interior.

Aug 5, 2012 · By hitting the pothole, there was probably enough "force" making the switch mistakenly shut off the fuel pump. The switch should be located in the trunk either on the left or right side. Locate the switch and press the reset button. If it clicks when pressed, then the switch was activated. Try starting the car.
Nov 9, 2022 · There is no fuel cut off switch. If the engine is not cranking or running the fuel pump is not energized . Check all the fuses with your Meter make sure the EFI and Circuit Opening Relay are working correct. there is a connector under the drivers seat the blue wire goes to the fuel pump . good luck.
